"Very, very impressive..." Daniel Barenboim

"...a serious musician" Sir Colin Davis

"...a born communicator" The Independent

As a regular soloist with Daniel Barenboim’s West East Divan Orchestra, the brilliant young piano virtuoso Karim Said has performed at such halls as the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. After hearing him play at the age of ten in 1999, Barenboim commented, “what you can’t learn, he already knows”. Karim’s album Echoes from an Empire (Opus Arte - 2015) was one of Gramophone’s ‘Top Ten Recordings of Janacek’ in 2016, and a new album will be released in September 2018. He performed at the opening concert of the new Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin in 2017, and will make his solo recital debut there in October 2018.
