Boathouse Manager and Rowing Coach
25 - 30 hours per week on average over the year by negotiation
£25,483 - £29,857 per annum pro-rata
The Boathouse Manager fulfills an essential role in College. A large proportion of our students are members of the Peterhouse Boat Club at some point in their time at the College, many of them arriving as novices, but with some reaching the highly competitive standards required for a place in one of the University rowing squads. The Boat Club is largely student-run Peterhouse alumni are actively involved in the Club, as supporters, occasional oarsmen and as coaches. In 2028, the Boat Club celebrates its 200th anniversary and there are plans to mark this occasion by the further development of the rowing facilities offered by the College.
The post-holder will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the College Boathouse site and all the associated rowing equipment, will provide coaching and support to members of the Peterhouse Boat Club, and will facilitate all members in achieving their individual rowing potential and competition goals.
