The new BBC crime comedy-drama show ‘Ludwig’ starring David Mitchell (m. 1993) alongside Anna Maxwell Martin has proved very popular with viewers and reviewers alike.

Reclusive puzzle-setter, John ‘Ludwig’ Taylor (David Mitchell) sees his life of solitude turned upside down when his identical twin brother, James, disappears without a trace. In a quest to track James down, Ludwig assumes his brother’s identity, but by taking over every aspect of James’s life, Ludwig is forced to confront his own. Unlike Ludwig, James is no hermit; he's a family man and a highly respected DCI within Cambridge's busy Major Investigations Team.

David told us: “I’m extremely fond of Cambridge and loved my student days, so it was terrific to be back there to film Ludwig. I hope local viewers of the show were able to enjoy the artistic license that it takes with the city’s geography...”

The University of Cambridge’s recent Ludwig bingo card Instagram post was a lighthearted feature spotlighting on the College locations and the iconic quotes to look out for across the series: “It’s a puzzle!”
