Peterhouse is delighted to share the news that the Royal Society has just announced it is awarding a Royal Medal to the distinguished chemist and former Master of the College, Sir John Meurig Thomas, HonFREng, FRS.

According to the Royal Society’s citation, this considerable honour is ‘for his pioneering work within catalytic chemistry, in particular on single-site heterogeneous catalysts, which have had a major impact on green chemistry, clean technology and sustainability.’

I am sure the Fellows and members of the College will want to join me in extending to Sir John our heartiest congratulations.
