Peterhouse Wins 'Student Switch Off' 2019/20

Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK) is a new educational charity created by students and staff at NUS in response to the climate emergency and ecological crisis.  SOS-UK actively support students to be the change that society urgently needs, helping them learn, act and lead on sustainability. Participating in a series of activities and events over the year Peterhouse students have topped the leaderboard for 2019/20.  Full details can be found on the overall leaderboard at: http://studentswitchoff.org/unis/cambridge/leaderboard/

As recognition for the end of the campaign at a national level SOS-UK has made a donation to the charity Mind in place of the planned prize give-aways and in recognition of the efforts made by students over the months. A charitable donation was suggested by students and with their feedback Mind was chosen for their current work providing extra advice and support for key workers, whilst continuing to support anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
