Congratulations to Dr Anders Hansen on receiving one of this year's Philip Leverhulme Prizes. Dr Hansen said 'The prize money will be used to support a post-doc to join my Applied Functional and Harmonic Analysis group in Cambridge to work on foundations of computational mathematics in learning. The particular focus will be on deep learning and artificial intelligence. This is related to Smale’s 18th problem on the list of mathematical questions for the 21st century.'
