A school group visits Peterhouse

Peterhouse Area Links Residential event

Every Easter Peterhouse hosts a number of high achieving Year 12 state-schooled students for a two-day visit, including an overnight stay (all costs covered by Peterhouse). Students have the opportunity to spend the night in a Cambridge college, meet current undergraduates and teaching staff, experience lectures and other university-style teaching and tour some of the University’s facilities as well as the city itself, all with the aim of demystifying the University of Cambridge and raising aspirations.

Applications for places on the 2017 event are now closed. Applications were open to all year 12 students at state schools in Peterhouse's link areas of Oxfordshire, Nottinghamshire and Hillingdon. If you're unsure if your school is in the right area, you can contact us to check. Applicants should be on track to achieve at least AAA in their A levels or at least 40 points and 776 at Higher Level in the IB, should be considering applying to Oxford or Cambridge, and interested in one of the Cambridge courses. Once you have submitted your application, we will contact the teacher named in your application for confirmation.

If a large number of applications are received, priority may be given to students at schools without a history of successful Oxbridge applications and from areas that are currently under-represented at the University. Applicants who are not studyind the required A levels for their chosen course at Cambridge will not be considered.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application by email. Consent forms and information packs will be sent by post and email to successful applicants - forms will need to be completed and returned to confirm your place.

Unsuccessful applicants are welcome on our Year 12 Taster Days which take place in March, April and June - you should contact your teachers to make a booking on your behalf if you'd like to attend these.
