Telephone Campaign 2019
Meet our team of callers for January's Telephone Campaign!
This year's Campaign will take place between 3 and 13 January 2019.
I want to work on the Campaign because I think this is a fantastic way to get in touch with people who have been in my shoes and have that strong sense of belonging to what is a very special and unique institution. I can't think of a better way to give back to Peterhouse in order for future generations of students to share in such a rewarding and privileged educational experience.
Having been at Peterhouse as an undergraduate, I am very happy to be back, as a PhD student this time round. It has been lovely to meet old friends and rejoin PBC, but even more so getting to meet members of the MCR. Participating in the Telephone Campaign is a great way to give back to Peterhouse whilst still at College.
I am a Fourth Year Law Student at Peterhouse. Last year, I completed a year abroad at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I am currently the Law Society president at Peterhouse. My main extra-curricular focus is Model United Nations, and I hope to pursue a career at the Bar.
I am an outgoing and friendly person who enjoys team sports and meeting interesting new people. I am personable and can strike up easy and interesting conversation with all kinds of people. I love art and enjoy drawing in my free time.
I am a second year overseas student doing Natural Sciences.
I'm Joey, a second year reading linguistics. When I'm not doing work on weird and wonderful languages, you will probably find me at the Boathouse or planning the Peterhouse May Ball.
I am a first year historian and I've just finished my first term at Peterhouse. I enjoy socialising, art and theatre and I'm very excited to do more of these things over the next few years!
As a doctoral student funded by a Peterhouse Research Studentship, I have been incredibly lucky to experience the full support of this dynamic and vibrant college. I am thrilled to learn more about what its alumni have gone on to achieve and to help preserve its quirky spirit for future students.
I am Harry Spillane, a PhD history student focusing on the Church of England under Elizabeth I. Having benefitted from student support I am enthusiastic about ensuring we can continue to provide help to those who need it so that they too can experience all that Peterhouse has to offer.
I’m a 5th year medical student at Peterhouse. During my time, the College has supported me and I’ve loved my time here - I think it’s important to give back for this. The College does a lot to support its students so that future Petreans can continue to get the most out of their time at Cambridge despite their background. Fundraising plays a big part in continuing this fantastic legacy and I look forward to supporting this.
I really enjoy living and working in Peterhouse, and would love to help raise money so that other people can have the opportunity too!
I love talking to people and hearing about different life experiences and viewpoints, and I would love to help boost the development of Peterhouse!
