SERMON SERIES AT SUNDAY EVENSONG

Our Evensong preachers will expound passages from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Colossians.

 

SPECIAL SERVICES & EVENTS

February 2nd          The Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple (Candlemas) will be observed with a service of Holy Communion at 8.00am using the Book of Common Prayer.

3rd        The Commemoration of Benefactors will take place at 7.00pm in Chapel. The preacher will be the Rev’d Robin Weekes, Minister of Emmanuel Church Wimbledon.

  6th        A short candlelit service of Choral Compline will take place on Monday at 9.00pm, followed by cocoa in the Lubbock Room.

 9th          The Corporate Communion will take place at 6.00pm, followed by a free supper in the Combination Room.

12th         The choir will sing a Joint Evensong with Voces Petrensium, our alumni choir at the usual time in Chapel.

22nd        Ash Wednesday will be observed with two services: Morning Prayer with Litany and Commination at 8.15am, and a Choral Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes at 6.00pm.

March      1st           We will celebrate Saint David’s Day at the Wednesday Evensong Service at 6.30pm.

   6th         A short candlelit service of Choral Compline will take place on  Monday at 9.00pm, followed by cocoa in the Lubbock Room.

17th-19th    The Chapel retreat will take place at Parcevall Hall in Yorkshire. The Rev’d Leanne Roberts (Diocese of Southwark) will lead. More details will follow. Please contact the Chaplain with questions.

Bible study:           We will continue to meet to study the Gospel of Saint Mark. Please email the Dean to express interest.
