Members of Peterhouse and the general public are warmly invited to join us for worship on Sundays and for weekday services.

Divine Service during Michaelmas Full Term

 

Please note: There will be a special Freshers' Holy Communion Service on the 6th of October but no service of Evensong that day. The regular programme of services begins on Monday 7th October and ends on Friday 6th December. All services take place inside the chapel.

Special Services and Events

October        6th      The beginning of Freshers’ Week will be marked with Holy Communion at 9.00 am to which all members of College are warmly invited – and especially our new undergraduates and postgraduates – followed by breakfast in Upper Hall.

October       13th    The Freshers’ Evensong will be held at 6.00 pm, followed by refreshments in the Combination Room and pizza in Upper Hall.

October       18th    The Feast of Saint Luke will be observed with a weekday service of Holy Communion at 8.00 am, celebrated according to the Book of Common Prayer.

November    1st      The Commemoration of John Cosin will be observed with Choral Evensong at 6.30 pm.

November    3rd     The Feast of All Saints will be observed at Holy Communion and Choral Evensong on Sunday at the usual times.

November    7th     Corporate Communion will take place at 6.00 pm. All members of College are warmly invited to this service and to supper in the Combination Room afterwards.                

November    10th   Remembrance Sunday will be marked at the beginning of Choral Evensong with an Act of Remembrance and a Two Minute Silence.

December    1st     The Advent Carol Service will take the place of Choral Evensong on Sunday at the usual time of 6.00 pm, followed by drinks and mince pies in the Combination Room.

December    5th      The Christmas Carol Service will take place at 6.00 pm.

 

Charitable Giving

During the Michaelmas Term, the Chapel will support Cambridge Street Aid which assists those who are or have been homeless through practical help and raising grants to help them stay off the streets. www.cambscf.org.uk/cambridge-street-aid.html.
