Manchester Dinner - Sunday 18 March

On Sunday 18 March the College held a dinner hosted by the Master, Bridget Kendall, at the St James’s Club in Manchester for Petreans living in and around Greater Manchester. They were joined by Petreans from as far afield as Leeds and Derbyshire and the Master’s partner Amanda Farnsworth and the Development Director, Dr Saskia Murk Jansen also travelled up from Cambridge for the occasion.  For Petreans who might not have been back to the College for some time it was an opportunity to meet the Master, to hear about developments at the College and to discuss our future plans.  The Master also touched on recent developments in Russia’s relationship with the West and a lively question and answer session ensued!

Following the success of the evening, we are planning another event in the north of England in 2019.  Petreans in the south might like to note that the Master will be speaking to the Gloucestershire Cambridge Society on Saturday 8 December 2018 at Calcot Manor (further details can be found on the Society’s Facebook page). Bridget will also be speaking in Winchester in the first half of 2019 but the date has yet to be fixed.
