Dr James Talbot

Fellow and Director of Studies in Engineering

Dr James Talbot is a University Senior Lecturer in the Dynamics & Vibration Group of Cambridge University Engineering Department.  He is an Official Fellow of Peterhouse and Director of Studies for first-year undergraduates in Engineering.

Dr Talbot's academic and industrial experience lies primarily in the fields of vibration engineering and structural integrity.  His primary research interests lie in the analysis, assessment and mitigation of ground-borne vibration in buildings.  He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Member of the Institute of Acoustics and a Director of the International Institute of Acoustics & Vibration.
