Peterhouse has a rich and thriving musical life. The Chapel Choir sings two services a week in the college's beautiful candlelit chapel. The student-led Music Society hosts regular recitals and concerts throughout term. Peterhouse is also host to an outstanding series of professional chamber music recitals, Camerata Musica. In a new and exciting development for College music, Peterhouse has recently completed the renovation of a sixteenth-century Brewhouse in the grounds of the Master's Lodge, which is now home to a Steinway Grand Piano and new rehearsal and recital spaces for students.
The musical life of the college is overseen by our Director of Music, Dr Simon Jackson. Dr Jackson is always delighted to hear from anyone interested in music-making in the College: please email him.

Peterhouse Music Society
The student-run Music Society organises concerts, lunchtime recitals and other musical events by Peterhouse musicians and students from other colleges. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter for details of our latest activities. You can also watch videos of recent performances online.
Peterhouse hosts a variety of musical events. Our lunchtime concert series provides a friendly platform to showcase talent from in and out of college. We also put on end of term showcase concerts in the Peterhouse theatre, and popular Jazz & Gin evenings in the Plevy Bar.
The college is very lucky to host the Camerata Musica series of chamber recitals, bringing some of the world's leading musicians to Peterhouse. Student tickets are available at generously subsidised prices.
Peterhouse is very fortunate to have a number of music awards open to members of the College. Thanks to support from Camerata Musica, the Peterhouse Music Society Awards scheme offers generous financial support to student ensembles connected with the College. Undergraduates of Peterhouse are also warmly encouraged to enter the Lady Alexandra Dacre Music Prize for excellence in performance, composition or academic studies in music.
